Still Waters Posted April 6, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2016 I've watched this video before on YouTube. She is very confident and trusting of the lions not hurting her, like many others I've watched the people in them are so sure of themselves. Who knows, but even hand reared wild animals are still 'wild' at heart. I hope these lions do well when they're released too.

Redefining Success Posted April 6, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 6, 2016 I think it's state of mind and confidence, they can smell fear, but if your comfortable and confident, they will respect you as one of their own.

Keel M. Posted April 6, 2016 #9 Share Posted April 6, 2016 I'm going to err on the side of optimism. Hoping that the release will mean good things for these cubs and that they will be able to survive despite being hand raised. MissJatti Posted April 7, 2016 #10 Share Posted April 7, 2016 do humans (in general) have respect to one another??
Alaric Posted April 9, 2016 #11 Share Posted April 9, 2016 I worry that, as good intentioned as she is, she has a fundamental inability to raise these lions to live in the wild... unless she has taught them to hunt for themselves, they wil likely starve to death... unless she has taught them the dangers of straying into another pride's territory... unless she has taught them where to find water... shelter... etc... etc... Lion mothers must teach many things to their cubs (most of which are specific to the locality) in order for them to survive and, lacking this knowledge, they have a pretty dismal probability to survive and thrive. Xalalah Posted April 17, 2016 #12 Share Posted April 17, 2016 Beautiful to watch, we can learn so much from this. Humans are like MissJatti says not always respectful towards each other. It's not about fear, it's about respecting and accepting.
