GracefulClaire Posted May 10, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 10, 2016 I have so many creepy dreams and one of my most recent ones scared the jeepers out of me. The dream was pretty much someone talking to me and saying that I no longer belong to God and that satan owns me.. I remember trying to fight back and say that I don't belong to satan.. It felt so real but I honestly have never had a dream like this.. Ever! I never saw who the person was that was saying I belong to Satan.. But it was so scary.. Anyone ever had a dream like this or knows what it means? I know I don't belong to satan because I'm a Christian and I've never sold my soul to the devil or done witch craft.. rashore Posted May 10, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 10, 2016 Welcome to UM GracefulClaire Please, take time to read the site rules, check out some threads.. and enjoy your time here on UM I'm going to start off with the witchcraft comment. Doing witchcraft does not sell your soul to the devil nor does it mean any other evil entities are laying claim to you. Believe it or not, there are actually Christian witches, who devote their craft in the name of Jesus and God. And a whole lot of various practitioners that have noting to do with any devils, Satan, or other evil entities. Most practitioners are harmless. Having a super scary "monster" dream isn't unusual. In your instance, it's Satan claiming you. I would suggest as an interpretation- you are going through some religious and/or spiritual conflict right now... and your dreams are reflecting your struggle. I certainly hope that you don't continue to have bad dreams along this vein- having a string of bad dreams sucks.

You might think its "good" or "safe" witchcraft but I believe it's not from friends that I've had who have done "white magic" and have been haunted. It's darkness and evil all in one and you can't mix darkness with light. If you are doing witchcraft and nothing bad has happened to you, it's probably because the devil wants you to think that what you are doing is "okay" and "pure" but it's not. And yes having a string of bad dreams sucks lol Thanks for your comment God Bless

AbyssWalker Posted May 11, 2016 #8 Share Posted May 11, 2016 Dreams are weird, and make no sense sometimes. Insecurities and fears from deep within can surface even if you don't think about them that much when you're awake. Maybe it's a faith thing and you worry about losing your faith and switching over to the dark side.

And yes having a string of bad dreams sucks lol Thanks for your comment God Bless That is a largely misguided belief, and one that seems to be a bit too common. Non-Christian witches don't usually believe in God or the Devil, but rather other entities - such as Mother Gaia. As a Christian, you should know better than to cast judgment upon the beliefs of others, even if you believe they are wrong. As it goes, "love the sinner, hate the sin." (Not that I believe witchcraft to be a sin.) Before deciding whether another individual is pure or impure based on their beliefs or craft, it is also best to make sure you're walking the straight and narrow: judging by a few of the posts you've made, you're no more pure than those that practice witchcraft. I won't go into that whole Christianity debate, though.
XenoFish Posted May 16, 2016 #11 Share Posted May 16, 2016 Dreams can be the manifestation of subconscious fears, desires, and/or the organization of thought. Most of the time dreams are dreams. Last night I dreamt I was in Doom, blowing up demons with a shotgun. You seem to have an almost unheathy obsession with demons.
AZDZ Posted May 16, 2016 #12 Share Posted May 16, 2016 Yes I've been a Christian my whole life, born an raised in a Christian family but I officially got baptised this year in January So you're going to Church on a regular basis? That being Religious doesn't equate to being saved, could be the message the dream is trying to convey. In that many will say to me, Lord! Lord! Didn't we... blah blah in your name? I will tell them, depart from me, I never knew you.

WolfNinja X2 Posted May 18, 2016 #14 Share Posted May 18, 2016 Hi, Im WolfNinja X2 (It would've been WolfNinjaX2, don't use fake emails. Anyway, weird dreams happen a lot. Let me tell you one I had, Before I hated God, I was a good Christian guy, and I had a dream where I was inside a church, and behind (or in-front) was some beautiful actor (idk who it was), and she and her husband (a real person I've seen a lot) went into some room. When I decided to go in, she was DEAD, and the husband walking out. I tried to stop the guy, but one of my Christian friends pulled me over, and he was wearing papal robes. This is weird, since I'm an Protestant and have nothing to do with Catholicism. He and a few others got in hoods, and started chating in a strange language, then I woke up. If you feel there's similarities, please tell me. Also read my new post, Wolf and Psychic

Or feel saved no matter what because you did a ritual? Christians aren't protected unless they reaffirm their commitment daily. If you're slacking, the devil may well move in. There's no special protection for people who brand themselves "Christians". Walk the walk & you'll have no worries. But in these dreams, if it occurs again, just say "No", loud and clear. If it taunts you again, repeat the word "No!" again. Words have a lot of power in the dreaming world.

Skulduggery Posted May 20, 2016 #19 Share Posted May 20, 2016 (edited) Consider this. "A dream is an answer to a question we haven't yet learned how to ask" (lifted straight out of the X-Files). I can't lend much clarity but as the antagonist of Christianity, the devil in your dreams presents the frightening possibilities which come to unsettle anyone who is wholly commited at all. This wholly unholy being is real in the minds of many Christians. As such, its unsettling nature grows in power the more you fear it. This, in my own opinion and admittedly limited interpreting prowess, is a device created by a combination of thought processes in your mind and some uncharted anxiety buried within. The question your brain may be posing is whether or not belief that the devil may directly sabotage and control you in any way without a fight and can render you powerless in these struggles could in fact affect an outcome in your life. After all, loads of people believe in posession and that is unsettling in more ways than one. The answer is no. Because, you have a mind to question the nature of this scenario and your dreams. We all have this power, Christian or otherwise. This is a quick interpretation and undoubtedly, I can't say for certain but don't worry; in the Christian faith, I don't think it is common to abscribe dreams to absolutes without certain merit. If that makes any sense. Edited May 20, 2016 by Skulduggery
Paranormal Panther Posted May 20, 2016 #20 Share Posted May 20, 2016 You likely had the dream because you were worried about your relationship with God in an unwarranted manner. You might be a religious fanatic. They are more prone to needless concerns and worries about witchcraft and satanism. The fact, that you even care, means that there's nothing to worry about at all.
XenoFish Posted May 20, 2016 #21 Share Posted May 20, 2016 Your greatest ally and worst enemy are your own thoughts. An the more you feed specific thought the more power they gain, until they dominate your mindset. Creating a reality that isn't true.

Actually, I think the opposite is true maybe. If I were Satan, I'd look for religious fanatics especially. Someone who is fanatical closes their mind off. And once closed and rigid, it can be manipulated. I know that sounds counter-intuitive. But the best way I can tell you to understand how that is, is to read the book by C.S Lewis called "The Screwtape Letters". It's a story about an artful demon schooling his nephew demon on how to get inside the minds of Christians who have stopped their open channel to the spirit and instead opted for rituals and dogma "as Christianity". It's a fascinating, sometimes funny and excellent read. A must for any person of any faith to read really. Will help head you out of trouble and crises of faith.
Explorer83 Posted May 20, 2016 #24 Share Posted May 20, 2016 I'm a Christian but have slipped up plenty. I had a dream but it wasn't belonging to the devil. I was outside and saw these weird looking creatures flying. They had wings like dragon flies but horse/person like faces. One landed and said I was their prisoner and something about Yahweh. I'm sure it was just a silly dream.

If I was satan I'd create religion and let the fireworks start. Why is it that only Christians that are the ones who suffer from 'demonics' issues? I guess it's a mental issue, over exaggeration out of some subconscious fear that some demonic force is after you. I call this the Christian Demon. All that subconscious guilt manifesting as some kind of paranoid psychosis.
