Go missing or abducted with no witnesses

Drugged (GHB)

Held for a period of time

Killed

Stored on land for a period of time

Place in a body of water, sometimes posed, no witnesses

Many have no discernible cause of death

Found in a place which was already searched, usually multiple times

Religious jewelry missing

Shoes and other clothing missing

Those are very interesting links you posted, dt544. I'd heard of the Smiley Face murders years ago, but I didn't realize there was an ongoing investigation.

Yeah, I understand Paulides is now researching this field as well.  On first glance I too thought it was the Smiley Face Killer thing. 

It is very unusual, and Paulides is an awesome researcher.
