Still Waters Posted May 22, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 22, 2016 Its image is one of a fierce predator who towered over most others, baring dozens of jagged, bone-crushing teeth. But new research out of Toronto seeks to challenge depictions of the Tyrannosaurus rex, suggesting that its fearsome incisors might have been hidden behind a pair of lips. https://www.theguard...ps-fierce-teeth
bubblykiss Posted May 22, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 22, 2016 Great now the image of a huge, feathered killing machine wearing bright red lipstick will be stuck in my head, forever.
Galactic Goatman Posted May 24, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 24, 2016 The Theropod lips theory has been bounced around for some time. I stand in the middle ground, they may have had lips, but its unlikely they fully covered the teeth. Especially in particularly long-toothed genuses like Ceratosaurus.
