seeder Posted May 26, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2016 Quote Vladimir Putin plans ‘shuttle’ to the MOON and MARS and a Moon village RUSSIA has announced plans to create a ‘reusable shuttle’ to take astronauts from the International Space Station (ISS) to the Moon - and possibly even Mars. The Energia rocket company, the largest in Russia’s space programme and a favourite of President Vladimir Putin’s, announced their daring project at a space conference this week. The rocket, named ‘Ryov’ which means ‘Charge’ in Russia, would be based at the ISS where it would be used to transport materials and crew to the Moon. The announcement was made at a conference marking the 55th anniversary of Russian cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin making the first manned space flight, and comes at a time when Putin is pushing hard to land the first Russian on the Moon. http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/674120/vladimir-putin-moon-mars-village-space
Merc14 Posted May 26, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 26, 2016 Sounds like a brilliant idea but are they building it in space or on earth and then getting it up to the ISS?
