I bet they don't bother locking the door.

I would personally be leery of having a wild animal as a pet.

I don't think I'd want the bear to sit at the table with me and dine. I'd keep it outside in a fenced in area of about 1 acre lot and have a

shed with straw for sleeping quarters. Maybe a few fruit trees on the lot so the bear can eat them and a small pond to play in.

I rented "The Revenant" a couple of days ago, and I decided that a pet bear isn't for me.

When this " acclimated from birth" bear decides "instinct"... that human family will hate life.

Ha - A classic! I saw that movie with a high school friend when it first came out. He still sometimes greets me with, "Can you skin grizz?"

The Revenant was an amazing movie! That bear attack was way too realistic.

Holy hell jeremiah johnson was an intense movie. That really took me back.

Yeah, while I'm all for animal-human non-sexual relations, precautions aren't at all unreasonable. Interesting case study. Let's see what happens.

They got it at 6 months its now 23 I think they are fine. Some animals are just different look at the guy who had the pet Crocodile he saved as a baby and kept its whole life.

Ha...Me too.  In fact, I will no longer travel to states that have bears.

The bear looks friendly enough but it's hardly a normal situation.

What if something unforeseen happens and they're forced to let the bear go. He's so used to being pampered by humans I doubt he'd settle anywhere else, he's probably never mixed with or seen another live bear either.

Domesticated bears can be fun & cute - like Bruiser The Bear..

..but they are animals, with animal instincts, that you never can trust. >>

Animals will always show love and affection back to those people that are kind and loving.

The same cannot be said to those that are the complete opposite however. Don't be surprised either ! ~ AMEN
