tcgram Posted May 30, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 30, 2016 I would personally be leery of having a wild animal as a pet.

Hawken Posted May 30, 2016 #5 Share Posted May 30, 2016 I don't think I'd want the bear to sit at the table with me and dine. I'd keep it outside in a fenced in area of about 1 acre lot and have a shed with straw for sleeping quarters. Maybe a few fruit trees on the lot so the bear can eat them and a small pond to play in.

I saw that movie with a high school friend when it first came out. He still sometimes greets me with, "Can you skin grizz?" The Revenant was an amazing movie! That bear attack was way too realistic.

Skulduggery Posted May 31, 2016 #15 Share Posted May 31, 2016 Holy hell jeremiah johnson was an intense movie. That really took me back. Yeah, while I'm all for animal-human non-sexual relations, precautions aren't at all unreasonable. Interesting case study. Let's see what happens.

Still Waters Posted May 31, 2016 #19 Share Posted May 31, 2016 (edited) The bear looks friendly enough but it's hardly a normal situation. What if something unforeseen happens and they're forced to let the bear go. He's so used to being pampered by humans I doubt he'd settle anywhere else, he's probably never mixed with or seen another live bear either. EllJay Posted May 31, 2016 #21 Share Posted May 31, 2016 Domesticated bears can be fun & cute - like Bruiser The Bear.. ..but they are animals, with animal instincts, that you never can trust. >>

Hybodus Posted June 3, 2016 #23 Share Posted June 3, 2016 Animals will always show love and affection back to those people that are kind and loving. The same cannot be said to those that are the complete opposite however. Don't be surprised either ! ~ AMEN
