seeder Posted May 30, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 30, 2016 A TV presenter.... Quote Let your children eat TADPOLES to give them a connection with nature, says Chris Packham Naturalist Chris Packham spoke of how he gobbled tadpoles as a child Encouraged youth of today to do the same as it helps to 'instill passion' Described the amphibians' taste as 'sort of gritty' and 'slightly moreish' Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3616109/Let-children-eat-tadpoles-connection-nature-says-Chris-Packham.html#ixzz4ABNaIZPF

Gingitsune Posted May 31, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 31, 2016 (edited) Even as a kid, it would have been "no, thank you" for tadpole, I was never into that kind of things. As for eating tadpole to get passion with nature... is he in witchcraft? This is beyond ridiculous. -_- Edited May 31, 2016 by Gingitsune
XenoFish Posted May 31, 2016 #5 Share Posted May 31, 2016 Witchcraft has nothing to do with eating tadpoles.

sarah_444 Posted May 31, 2016 #7 Share Posted May 31, 2016 My kids won't even eat noodles half the time so I think live tadpoles could be a bit of a stretch.
Likely Guy Posted May 31, 2016 #8 Share Posted May 31, 2016 Well. okay. Don't let them actually "eat" tadpoles. Let them play with tadpoles and frogs and peanut butter and dirt, like normal healthy children used to.

+ouija ouija Posted May 31, 2016 #10 Share Posted May 31, 2016 Chris Packham should never be allowed to present a TV programme ever again. I blame 'Get me out of here' ..... once it was 'okay' to eat foreign bugs we were on a slippery slope. Now that Ant & Dec have been elevated to the status of gods, I guess there's no way of reversing this trend.
Still Waters Posted May 31, 2016 #11 Share Posted May 31, 2016 If a man can be fined for swallowing a live goldfish - http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum/topic/294759-man-fined-after-swallowing-goldfish-at-fair/ I don't see how swallowing live tadpoles is any different. Unless he means kill them first which is just as bad. I used to catch tadpoles when I was a kid, newts too. It was fun watching them swim around but I always put them back afterwards where I found them.
