Still Waters Posted June 20, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 20, 2016 Finding Dory has taken $136.2m (£93.3m) on its opening weekend - making it the most successful launch for an animated film in US box office history. The sequel to Finding Nemo has unseated Shrek the Third - which took $121.6m (£83.1m) on its release in 2007. It is also the second most successful opening weekend of 2016, behind Marvel's Captain America: Civil War. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-36571691
Claire. Posted June 20, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 20, 2016 It's like the cutest film ever. Just as good as Finding Nemo, and the animation is brilliant.

+DieChecker Posted June 25, 2016 #4 Share Posted June 25, 2016 (edited) I wonder if it is in 3D? The ticket prices for the 3D showing a a bit higher then the regular 2D shows, so I wonder if they allow for that in their "Most money opening weekend ever", contest? I am very much looking forward to seeing it!! Edited June 25, 2016 by DieChecker

rattpoison Posted August 2, 2016 #6 Share Posted August 2, 2016 Of course Big Trouble in Little China with Kurt Russel or Maximum Overdrive with Emilio Estevez should top that list. There must be some sort of conspiracy here.
psyche101 Posted August 2, 2016 #7 Share Posted August 2, 2016 Gees, that was almost as much a wait as Star Wars. Long time coming.
