So, I'm going to South Dakota in two days, and I'm trying to find something crypto-y to do while I'm there.  Any suggestions?

What do you mean? You want to hunt for something? See something? Research something? What is it that you're looking for?

Well it seems there is plenty to do there, have you already seen the interesting attractions?

Incase you have have not, there are a few there,  these are quite educational and interesting if you want to get to know the area:

there is enough there to keep your mind and body occupied without having to look for fantasy stuff, but if fantasy is what you are after, you can find it at Disneyland.:tu:

Cryptozoology is not "fantasy".  It's just as real as you

Visit Bear Butte and Paha Sapa, the Black Hills to see the spiritual heart of the plains.  Be respectful.  This is Lakota holy ground.  I don't know what you will see there, but if you keep your mind open, it will be worth the trip.

Oh, it's fantasy all right. No large mammals could exist undetected in the united states for this long. Other countries with remote wilderness? Sure. But a country with the population of the states? No way. If you are looking for ways to actually witness a sasquatch or something like that, you're going to be disappointed. Because really, if anyone knew where to go to see sasquatches, wendigo, or bakwas, then they wouldn't be cryptids, would they?

Your first task would be to precisely define cryptozoology as it relates to credible scientific research. Please detail.

Your second task would be to present specific, credible reports/papers that clearly demonstrate that any degree of worthwhile "cryptozoological" research has actually been conducted, reviewed, and considered to be worthy of merit. Please detail.

It may be worthwhile for you to understand that the north-central Great Plains of North America contain a tremendous amount of geological, glaciological, hydrological, paleontological, archaeological, and cultural data/information.

It would be suggested that you would be better served by spending your time investigating/studying/learning the truly fascinating aspects of this region rather than chasing unevidenced and currently unsupportable "fantasies".

Edit: Typo.

Ongoing personal commentary: The "preview" function of the "new" software is patently useless in regards to editing. By all appearances, such software would appear to be directed towards the utilization of minimally worthwhile "hand-held" devices. Shades of the W8/W10 debacles. Such software applications result in the presentation micro-mind little tidbits of no serious significance. While such approaches are quite likely commercially viable, they notably limit the articulate transfer of detailed information.

A sad commentary at best.
