Frankly, it surprises me that listening to ABBA didn't *raise* blood pressure.

Wash your mouth out with soap, ABBA are legends !

A gagging mouth full of soap is about how it makes me feel when I listen to them! :P

Not exactly a ground breaking study is it? Its something thats been well known for years

You can just as easy say: - Someone banging a saucepan with a handful of cutlery....raises BP.......however, the noise of someone arranging flowers....doesnt...

Kinda obvious.... and yes I DO have high BP which I take meds for

Serum cortisol, a stress hormone, was reduced in all groups listening to either Mozart, ABBS, or Strauss. Breathe easy.

ABBA were honoured at the 50th anniversary celebration of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005, when their hit "Waterloo" was chosen as the best song in the competition's history.[9] The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.[10]

I wonder how many of the volunteers prefer classical music to classic rock/pop?  If you don't like a particular type of music you either ignore it or it irritates you.  Years ago, a woman I worked with thought I needed soothing so she played "soothing sea sounds" in my office.  All if did was tick me off more than the jerks, I mean co-workers I was dealing with at the time.

I wonder if that lowered the cows blood pressure?  They seemed to be enjoying it a bit too much.  I was fully expecting to see hooves in the air as a cow went by body surfing in the crowd...
