seeder Posted July 1, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2016 That must be a weird feeling for the Elephant, but glad its not confined to hobbling around on 3 legs Quote Elephant gets second chance at life with prosthetic leg after stepping on LANDMINE LIKE any youngster, Mosha the elephant has to get used to growing taller by the day. For the 11-year-old landmine victim it also means getting regularly fitted with a prosthetic leg for the one she lost when she was a baby. Mosha was only seven months old when she trod on a mine set on the Thai-Myanmar border, leaving her with catastrophic injuries. http://www.express.co.uk/news/nature/685318/Elephant-second-chance-life-prosthetic-leg-steeping-on-landmine
Still Waters Posted July 2, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 2, 2016 Quote Ensuring she gets a regular re-fit is vital for Mosha as the nine artificial legs she has received over the years have been life-savers. To think she's coped with nine artificial legs so far in her life, that's amazing and says a lot about the dedication of those looking after her. We've had threads about her before, it's so good to see she's still on her feet.
