Peter LaPlante Posted July 25, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 25, 2016 Here's a weird one. Back in 2008, one of my cats Christopher suddenly came down with labored breathing. It was a Sunday, so I called the local animal hospital, where one of the doctors was on call. She told me she could be there in about 30 minutes. Poor Christopher died right in front of me 20 minutes later. I took his body into my Jeep, lying him on the floor of the back seat behind the driver's seat. I drove to the hospital, where my ex-wife was at the time, and told her that the kitty had died. I went to the vet's office and gave her his body. Several months later, my ex, daughter, and I were riding in my Jeep down the highway. We were talking about ghosts, and how I didn't believe they were spirits. I was just about to tell her my theories when a very loud meow sounded three times in the car. All three of us heard it, and it was LOUD. My ex and I looked at each other in disbelief. We stopped the car and searched both inside and out. We had come from her parents house, and they had cats, so we thought that one of their cats had gotten into the Jeep. Needless to say we didn't find a cat. My daughter is mentally retarded, and several years later we were talking about it, and she said the sound came from right next to her. She was sitting in the back seat behind the passenger's seat. She also said when it happened she got extremely cold. She didn't know anything about spirit phenomena, and I find it interesting that she experienced this. I like to believe it was Christopher the cat, letting me know that spirits are real!!! LostSouls7 Posted July 25, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 25, 2016 That is spooky even though I love cats. It sounds like a ghost cat!
XenoFish Posted July 25, 2016 #3 Share Posted July 25, 2016 There is no valid proof for the existence of spirits. What you might have heard was a auditory hallucination. The reason I say this is because "Old man" my mixed dog died a few years ago. Sometimes I catch a glimpse of him when I think about him. It's a visual hallucination brought on by grief. Same possible situation with your cat. You miss him so you 'manifested' (collectively) him meowing.
