Police made the statement late December last year. I knew things were bad in Norway but... :(

The Grønland district of Oslo looks like Karachi, Basra, and Mogadishu all rolled into one. People sell drugs openly next to the Grønland subway station, violence is epidemic, and the police have largely given up. It’s not Norway or Europe anymore, except when there is welfare money to be collected.

Quote

In 2015, there were 50 rape reports filed in Gronland, where, like all of Oslo, 100% of rapes of native Norwegian women by strangers are committed by Muslims.  Across Norway, as with all of Europe, women dare not go out at night alone, the risk of rape is so incredibly high.

[...]No Norwegian has committed a rape in Grønland where the victim and the rapist did not know each other before hand.

Also in 2015, robberies in Gronland averaged one a day.  In the past ten years, more than 4,000 people have been robbed, often right near the Gronland police station, which is in an immigrant ghetto.

Quote

The police visited Sturla Nøstvik in the emergency room after the robbery. They told Nøstvik that a gang of robbers had committed many similar robberies in Grünerløkka and surrounding areas in thee past weeks. They told him that everybody should have the right to feel safe, but that they had no way of halting the robberies. “We have lost the city,” they said…

"Americanthinker.com" (a site I've really got to explore, it sounds like it'd be an endless source of intellectual debate). Jihadwatch and Alex Jones. Dear lord.

Sorry let me just grab that CNN link for you! Oh right - they don't report anything they aren't paid to. Next time I'll be sure to use links approved by the Ministry.

Honestly, I think the truth lies somewhere between everything we're fed by the media.

On the one hand, the mainstream media, largely influenced by politically correct left-wing bias, is intentionally hiding a lot of the facts of what's happening around the world right now, especially in Europe.

On the other hand, right-wing media outlets are likely exaggerating situations in places such as Oslo to pour fuel on the fire. I just can't believe things are as bad as that over there.

One thing is for sure though, it doesn't matter whether it's fact or fiction. With the increasing number of attacks influenced or directly conducted by Islamic extremists around the globe, the racial tensions in America, etc. the world feels like it's heading for some dark times, and it's not going to be long before something tips the scales :hmm:

For folks that might be interested... Here is the November 2011 Poqari news article that is being referenced by the folks that were talking about it in December 2015: https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=no&u=http://www.aftenposten.no/osloby/Ransoffer-nr-351_-Gronland-politistasjon-173925b.html&prev=search

The above is run through Google translator. In it's original language: http://www.aftenposten.no/osloby/Ransoffer-nr-351_-Gronland-politistasjon-173925b.html

Militarize the police and send them in there. Get the national government to pass a "Martial Law" type legislation to allow a hardening of what the police can do in these situations.

Norway is a socialist paradise, so I'm not expecting this to happen, but if they did, they could fix their problem. Instead they'll cede ground and allow a small Islamic state to spring up.

Rather telling that when you google 'oslo is lost' you get an extreme right wing, holocaust denying website (seriously, these guys make Britain First look tame) and a page for lost property in Oslo.

You claim the mainstream media won't report it. Don't you think there might be one non-extreme website in Europe reporting on this apparent loss of a city?

And to those suggesting militarizing the police, I reply as you are so fond of doing: Not your country, mind your own business and sort your own police out first (you might find de-militarizing them helps).

The truth nearly always lies somewhere in between - the trick is finding it. It's usually well hidden.

I think, though, it does matter whether it's fact or fiction. The right-wing media seems to want to fuel a hysterical response to Muslims in Europe, whilst the left leaning media wants you to put your head up your backside so you can't see what's going on. I think solutions would be better served if the majority of populations didn't buy into either flavour of horse crap.

It does seem to be a largely foreign concept to them, doesn't it?  It's amazing the change that can occur in a single generation.  America seems to be a similar animal.  The difference is that we are not such a homogeneous culture.  The militant garbage that could thrive in Minneapolis or Detroit would be quickly dispatched with extreme prejudiced in the average city in say, Alabama or Texas.  Or in redneck parlance - "we ain't havin' none of that s*** here boys.  Move along or stop movin' altogether!
