Next year Bob might lose the wooden house part to robots and so on. The future doesn't look so bright for Bob.
bubblykiss Posted July 28, 2016 #4 Share Posted July 28, 2016 Hey now, that headline is misleading. That is more of a hovel or a cottage than a house.
danielost Posted July 28, 2016 #5 Share Posted July 28, 2016 bob the builder will have to learn to maintain the robot. also the cost of housing should drop or more money goes into the pockets of the realtor or both.

Maintaining the Robot will be Robby the Robo-technician's job. He can fix the robot that cost 100 Bob the builders their jobs. I also wouldn't hold my breath on the cost of housing going down. So far the bulk of the benefits of increased productivity has gone into the pockets of the investors.

The home owners will continue to pay property tax at the assessed level, though.

People who get paid minimum wage- the lower 47% of Americans are pretty much tax exempt when it comes to income tax. They simply don't make enough money. Blood from a stone and all that. The whole idea of raising minimum wage is to get them off welfare and to make sure they get paid enough to pay taxes too.
