PrisonerX Posted July 28, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 28, 2016 (edited) That's already a stretch and he's prepared to double it. I respect homeboy's staying power. Edited July 28, 2016 by PrisonerX
paperdyer Posted July 28, 2016 #3 Share Posted July 28, 2016 (edited) Of course this guy is completely sane. He must have a load of money, so he's just eccentric. Edited July 28, 2016 by paperdyer fixed typo

Still Waters Posted July 28, 2016 #5 Share Posted July 28, 2016 We saw him four years ago, he kept looking through his telescope hoping to see something. He's very determined.

Sundew Posted July 29, 2016 #8 Share Posted July 29, 2016 Nessie reminds me of a poem I heard as a child. While I walked upon a stair, I met a man who wasn't there, He wasn't there again today, I wish that man would go away.

It's better than him shooting up heroin on a streetcorner for the last 25 years. No harm done. Let him dream. Let him explore! We wouldn't have a tenth of the things we take for granted in modern times without this type of Quixotic devotion to "the impossible"... Hey, he's not bothering me and it's harmless. I just think he's probably wasting his life over something unreal, but he won't be the first. Atheist Pope Posted August 21, 2016 #14 Share Posted August 21, 2016 I actually feel sorry for him. He's never going to find any evidence as marine biologists have already said there's not enough of a food supply in the loch to support a large creature. I hope he has an epiphany and returns home. Heck, he could even write a book warning others about wasting their lives in such a manner.
Ealdwita Posted August 22, 2016 #15 Share Posted August 22, 2016 Has anyone considered the possibility that he's been looking in the wrong place? He may well have spent the last 25 years in the Lake District.

oldrover Posted August 22, 2016 #18 Share Posted August 22, 2016 (edited) I remember when he first went there, it was covered in a documentary. C4 I think. I think you have to ask, what his basic motivation for being there is. Is he a deluded nut case who's wasted his hoping to see a monster? Or, has he decided to drop out, live by a beautiful Loch, and make what he can by selling his models and appearing in the media? Question is whether he's happy.
