markdohle Posted July 30, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 30, 2016 Mind readers....not! People can't read our minds. If you don't reach out no one will reach back. If you don't speak you will never be understood nor known in any significant way. Fear is a vicious jail-keeper. Better to try and fail and try again, than stay locked up in a self made dungeon. To play it safe has its own misery; perhaps worse than to take a chance and get burned. We always choose, even if we don't spend time thinking about it. Our unconscious fears and thoughts manifest themselves in our anxieties and emotions. To pray with humility can be the start towards healing and courage--Br.MD
+and-then Posted July 30, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 30, 2016 The thief that goes along with this is the tendency to assume that others who are close ALREADY know your mind.
Bendy Demon Posted July 31, 2016 #3 Share Posted July 31, 2016 No matter how well you think you "know" the other person you can never really know what they are thinking and feeling. Parents, spouses, friends...we often think we "know" how the other one feels or what they are thinking and while there are times we may be close in our assumptions we can never fully know another. It is impossible really.
jmccr8 Posted August 5, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 5, 2016 Much of what is seen is what we project about/on them, assumptions are made as are deceptions. jmccr8
