One with all men and women

“During the octave of Corpus Christi, love with all men,
adore with all men, hope with all men, and yearn” Pg. 231

He and I
(Gabrielle Bossis)

When a man or women keeps on the path of prayer, is consistent and when there is failure, to begin again; grace will do its work. Though it may be a slow process, yet that seems how most of us grow in our spiritual lives. It is by our failures that we learn our union with others. Humility allows us to accept ourselves in the light of God’s love and grace. As empathy for others grows and the work of grace deepens, we find ourselves when in prayer feeling a union with all of mankind. It can seem that we hold them in our hearts, our hands. Past, present and the future become one, as we enter more deeply into God’s eternal, infinitely creative moment.

In our sufferings we join with those who suffer with us. In deep emotional distress we as well become one with all who struggle as we do, on their journey through life. When ill, we join our sufferings to theirs, and offer all up to the loving Heart of Jesus Christ. Our struggles and failures and rising, are our path, this dying and rising with Christ Jesus. We grow in trust of the process that is our lives when we look back and ponder where we had been and where we are now.

When deep darkness our failures seeks to drag us down, we learn that we have the freedom to choose to trust and in that we pray for all who are learning of this reality…we choose and in that choosing we grow in freedom. We take deep root in Christ, and pray for all who seek to deepen their connection with the love and of God as well as with others.

Our yearnings flow from our deepest longings, which we learn can only be fulfilled by filling our hearts with the love of God, as well as the love of others. When we learn to ‘love with all men”, we find that Christ is truly found in those that we struggle to love. In those that are our enemies, for in loving them we die to old ways of being. In our understanding of the Oneness of Christ Jesus with all, we begin to see the reality of Christ Jesus in all men and women that we encounter. Friend and foe, those who think and believe differently, all become part of our ever widening community within the Holy Trinity. We become immersed in the Holy Spirit which is the infinite love of the Father for the Son, which is the Holy Spirit
, three in one, all equal.
