stereologist Posted October 7, 2016 #51 Share Posted October 7, 2016 Anyplace hit by a hurricane is going to suffer a lot, not a little, but a lot. Obviously, anyone stating " It's starting to look like Florida may be largely out of the woods. " lacks the ability to predict.
stereologist Posted October 7, 2016 #52 Share Posted October 7, 2016 Interesting turn of events. Looks like Florida is being battered with substantial damage. I just saw a forecast and it has Matthew being down graded to a category 1 or 2 as it heads north to South Carolina and then doing the clockwise movement off of the coast where it will downgrade to a tropical storm and then depression. http://www.miamiherald.com/news/weather/hurricane/article106629677.html Let's hope the storm does not come back to life and smash through the affected areas a second time. It is hitting some heavy wind shear and dry air but they are predicting a lot of rain right up through the Hampton Roads area. Not looking forward to another 5" of rain here. Raptor Witness Posted October 8, 2016 Author #55 Share Posted October 8, 2016 Make no mistake, Hurricane Matthew is about to go down in history, as the greatest mover of sand in all of Atlantic Hurricane history. When it's over, he will have collectively removed a "thousand times" the sand replenished at Hilton Head, SC in a very special way, taking an unheard of track. From the tiny island of St. Lucia in "September," then threading the needle out of the Caribbean, on to South Carolina, Matthew is a beach erosion steam shovel. To forecast the beginning, the end, and above all, the chief characteristic of a storm, is unprecedented. Quote If any monies for said purposes are spent in South Carolina to undo what Mother Earth has done, according to my prescription that I announced here on September 27, 2015; I will ask for a thousand times more sand to be removed, not just from South Carolina, but from all the beaches along the East Coast of the United States. - Jan 27th, 2016
stereologist Posted October 8, 2016 #56 Share Posted October 8, 2016 (edited) Raptor Witness, you seem to have a problem with a relatively small beach sediment redistribution project in South Carolina. It's not that big. I've seen these projects in many places including South Carolina. They happen in many places int he world. You posted links to previous posts of yours and many people see through your ridiculous claims of predictions such as this poster: Quote Like I stated before, you are claiming you have some kind of control over nature by stating something is going to happen that naturally is going to occur anyway. Beach erosion is going to happen whether sand is added or not and if you state anything about it or not. Hurricanes are going to happen whether you state they are or not. Putting up cool images without any explanation then years later claim it as some kind of "forecast" doesn't prove it was a prediction about anything, other than you can make some pretty artistic images and have a colorful imagination. It's neat to see what you come up with but warning us about something that we know is going to occur anyway is a stretch. Here is some of your predictions from whenever. It's the same lame boring nonsense. The same claims and the same failures. Have you ever considered fixing your mistakes? Quote The landfall of tropical storm Bonnie, spearheaded perfectly the heart of the 2015 flood in South Carolina. This should make it perfectly clear what line of code will be executed if the beach renourishment projects that I warned about, continue. The 20 million spent on sand restoration, will result in 20 million x 1,000 in losses. http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:Yxl9QotaOuwJ:www.armageddononline.org/forums/threads/43085-2016-Atlantic-Hurricane-Season-Imagery-amp-Analysis&num=1&hl=en&gl=us&strip=1&vwsrc=0 So here is your latest statement which is clearly going to added to your long list of failures. Quote Make no mistake, Hurricane Matthew is about to go down in history, as the greatest mover of sand in all of Atlantic Hurricane history. Frankly, I wouldn't be aware of how often you failed and the extensive time period of your failures but you posted the links to show everyone that was the case. You made me aware of the fact that you are repeating the same baloney time after time after time. Do you think that getting it right once will justify your relentless tirade against beach project? No. The problem is that you would need to just the claim that any particular hurricane was the largest mover of sand. I can think of some hurricanes on the Atlantic that were incredibly destructive and are going to be very difficult to exceed. If you want to be taken seriously then you need to show these previous hurricanes and that any one in recent times comes even close to being the " the greatest mover of sand in all of Atlantic Hurricane history." Frankly, I doubt you'll list even one. Edited October 8, 2016 by stereologist
stereologist Posted October 8, 2016 #57 Share Posted October 8, 2016 Here are some other gems that Raptor Witness posted: Quote The earth is more like a computer than a revolving rock, orbiting a yellow star. Quote The human groundhog says, now ..... inescapable violent winds, such as not seen on the face of the Earth in 1,000,000 years. These are becoming more laughable as time goes on. Instead of the wishy washy hyperbole and blatant nonsense let's see you tell us the storms that you need to exceed to justify your claim of the " greatest mover of sand in all of Atlantic Hurricane history." I am so angry that you ungodly peasants want to move 40,000 tons of sand to that beach against my will that I'm gonna ask God to move 40,000,000 tons of sand instead!" How does one go about asking God to destroy lives and property just out of a petty desire to be recognized anyway? "See God, it's like this..." Not sure God is going to be into people using his name like some literal Mafioso Godfather (then again, he hasn't really complained about it before, so who knows). So, yeah, South Carolina, youse better listen good, capish? You drop one red cent on this little beach party o'yours, and RW, he's gonna, see, he's gonna get the Don, and the Don, He is gonna clean house ALL up and down the U.S., 'cause the Don, he listens to RW, and If Rw asks Him for a favor, it's gonna happen! It protects the city from hurricanes and provides for outdoor activity.
stereologist Posted October 9, 2016 #60 Share Posted October 9, 2016 Some of the initial reports are that many beaches i n Florida escaped with minor damage. Flagler's beach seems to have had quite a bit of damage. The next few days will get a better report. One thing we are sure of at this point is that the prediction by Raptor Witness was an utter failure. The last hurricane that hit SC did much more damage and killed many more people. Thankfully, this storm was not as horrific as the previous one.

What you are doing is the meteorological equivalent of cold reading. Many people have died in Hurricane Matthew. Revelling in it's destructiveness because you believe you predicted it is in very poor taste. I see no reason to keep this thread going.
