docyabut2 Posted September 25, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 25, 2016 You know Hillary will play the women`s card. The minute she attacks Trump ,he will come back at her ,and oh how she`ll claim foul , he was so disrespectful.
FredTheManiac Posted September 26, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 26, 2016 Trump is spending several hours of preparation so that he his grasp of the issues will be at the level of a fourth-grader. A significant improvement.

RavenHawk Posted September 26, 2016 #5 Share Posted September 26, 2016 Sounds like a drinking game. Everyone takes a shot when she lies. Last one left standing wins. Shouldn't take longer than 15mins to determine a winner.

skliss Posted September 26, 2016 #9 Share Posted September 26, 2016 Heard this morning that now Hillary's camp is whining that Holt needs to fact check Trump throughout the debate...because Hillary can't be expected to keep track and monitor the truthfulness of what Donald says....um....isn't that what debate is all about? One person says a thing and the other disputes it with facts...if they have them? So now she needs back-up? I thought monitors were supposed to be neutral. Did I miss something here?

.ZZ. Posted September 26, 2016 #11 Share Posted September 26, 2016 I'm wondering if both candidates can make it through 90 minutes without a break. I understand they won't even be interrupted by commercials.

Idknif a polygraph machine would be accurate on a debate setting. Their heartrates are probably already going to be high

RavenHawk Posted September 26, 2016 #18 Share Posted September 26, 2016 From what I hear, the 90mins will be broken down into 6 15min segments with breaks in-between and you can bet that Hilary will leave the stage every single time for another shot of what ever amphetamines she's taking. Maybe she'll OD on stage?? As expected, the MSM has come to her rescue. There should be a rule that candidates cannot leave the stage.
Big Jim Posted September 26, 2016 #19 Share Posted September 26, 2016 Quote Quote Televised debates rely a lot on image. Just like in the Nixon-Kennedy debate, there was a different perception between those who saw and those who only heard. Clinton is not very photogenic while Trump has years of experience on TV. Excepting major blunders by either side, this alone could make the difference. When you ask people, like in a survey, they will all say it's the ideas that matter, but in reality those are the same people who say they only read Playboy for the articles. The day after the debates very few will remember what each one said but they will remember their impressions of how each one performed.
SHaYap Posted September 26, 2016 #20 Share Posted September 26, 2016 Lets see if there's a repeat of something alike this sort of insanity ... Quote ~ Debategate From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Debategate or briefing-gate was a political scandal affecting the administration of Ronald Reagan; it took place in the final days of the 1980 presidential election. Reagan's team had somehow acquired President Jimmy Carter's briefing papers he used in preparation for the October 28, 1980 debate with Reagan. The briefing papers were never specified to be vital strategy memos or just routine position papers. This leak of campaign papers was not divulged to the public until late June 1983, after Laurence Barrett published Gambling With History: Reagan in the White House, an in-depth account of the Reagan administration's first two years. ~ wiki link

From CNN: Quote TIME: The debate will begin at 9 p.m. ET on CNN and other major networks. It will last 90 minutes, with no commercials and no breaks. MODERATOR: The debate will be moderated by "NBC Nightly News" anchor Lester Holt. DEBATE FORMAT: The debate will be divided into six segments of 15 minutes each. The first two segments will focus on "America's Direction." The next two segments will focus on "Achieving Prosperity" (the economy). The final two segments will focus on "Securing America" (national security and foreign policy). http://money.cnn.com/2016/09/26/media/presidential-debate-format-rules/ Edited September 26, 2016 by -ZZ-
