zippyuk Posted September 27, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 27, 2016 Hi all! I spoke to a psychic many years ago and she stated that I could "see moonbeams". I went back to her later and asked her to tell me what these were and what they meant but she couldn't elaborate and just kept saying "...you can see moonbeams.." Has anyone any idea what this means as it's been vexing me for years! I see signs very often and let these guide my life, especially big decisions and I am very open to anything supernatural and otherworldly but this "moonbeam" thingy has left me stumped as nothing on the great WWW can help in my quest so I thought I would ask here! Thanks for any information peeps! Love x
Susanc241 Posted September 27, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2016 I define moonbeams the same way as sunbeams - rays of light from the sun or moon. Don't know what else to say, really.

Thanks for any information peeps! Love x My guess is that hocus pocus moonbeam nonsense that psychic will not explain (because she no doubt made it up on the fly) is probably just her way of trying to cover up the fact that she knows nothing about you. If you could see moonbeams you would know - and you do see moonbeams under the right conditions. I personally wouldn't waste any more brain power trying to figure that one out. rashore Posted September 27, 2016 #4 Share Posted September 27, 2016 Welcome to UM Zippy Please, make sure you read the site rules- they apply to everyone, and can be found here: http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum/guidelines/ Enjoy your time here on UM Did you mean mood or moon beams? Your title said mood, but your content said moon more than once, I'm assuming the title is a typo? I'm going to go with moon here... The moon is a pretty big deal in a lot of paranormal and occult lore. So being able to see moonbeams might mean a lot of different things. In ghost lore and urban legends, there is a great deal of "see it when the moon is out" kind of commentary- you might be more adept at seeing what usually only happens in the moonlight. In occult lore, the moon can reveal or hide things, or spellwork is done to the waxing and waning of the moon- you might have a knack for seeing what is hidden or revealed, or can "see" what lunar power channels to use. I've occasionally heard of practitioners that speak of someone being touched by the moon, implying that person is special in the eyes of the lunar deities. Or taking the moonlight path (along with twilight and sunlight paths) to denote ones inclinations into "good and evil" or the "light and dark" paths of magic. Maybe you can "see" the special touch of a moon blessed, or see the power trails of those that walk the moonlight paths. In metaphysical lore, sometimes people speak of astral travel or projection like traveling a path, or a moonbeam- you might be good at seeing the astral paths and ways of the inner spirit by connecting through the moon more than anything else. Some of the more obscure wee folk and inter/intra dimensional lore suggest that those critters can actually use moonbeams as a mode of travel- like how leprechauns can travel through rainbows according to some lore. You might be able to see those critter highways. There's more moon lore than that, but I haven't finished my first cup of coffee yet and this is all I got off the top of my head. She could have meant it quite literally too- you can see moonbeams. It's really a thing. Not everyone can, a lot of people are too artificial light dependent and night blind to be able to see moonbeams. It's not a very strong light, and quite often air conditions aren't good for it the way it's often easy to see sunbeams. Moonlight usually just is a subtle illumination rather than a distinctive beaming kind of light. She might have been giving you a version of "you can always see the light in the darkness" positivity. She might have been giving you one of those quirky lines that you are supposed to figure out later. Or even never figure out at all- she might have said it so she remains a mystery.
