A: if it were true it means someone violated her medical records and as a hipaa violation would lead to lawsuits so far up their butts they would owe a lot of money or B: it is a rumor and unfounded and would leave them open for a huge slander case. Either way the idea to say that on air was stupid on multiple levels. According to the article he stated it was a rumor. Are you suggesting that talking about a common rumor making its way through the internet is now grounds for a defamation suit? if so the Trumpo is in line to make billion in slander and libel judgments. Please, your bias is showing and it is embarrassing.

The people who are speculating that he had some cocaine just before the First Debate, for instance would be hearing from Trump's lawyers if such was the case. Ashotep Posted September 29, 2016 #28 Share Posted September 29, 2016 I think talking about if Clinton has Parkinson is fair game since she did have someone research an alertness drug used for the disease. http://www.newsmax.com/Health/Health-News/clinton-health-parkinson-alert/2016/09/09/id/747545/ I don't know much about this man but considering the lies about Trump I don't see where what he was saying as a big deal. Seems to happen to people that say negative things about Hillary.

Me mentioning why they might have pulled it has nothing to do with my political affiliation. My best friend is in medical transcriptions and had educated me on hipaa rules. If you do somehow get ahold of someone's medical records and release the information if absolutely leaves you open to nasty lawsuits. Just because you like what he said doesn't mean he should have said it from a legal standpoint. The owners of his network seemed to think so which may be why they pulled it. Harte Posted October 1, 2016 #33 Share Posted October 1, 2016 Quote What happened on the day in question was that one of the stations that airs Savage's program, WABC in New York (which has the largest audience share of any station that carries "The Savage Nation"), opted to preempt his show — apparently without notifying Savage in advance — in favor of "wall to wall" coverage of that day's first presidential debate provided by local hosts Curtis Sliwa and Ron Kuby, reporting live from the scene at nearby Hofstra University Snopes Harte

Still it did result in Savage getting a bunch of free publicity and headlines... Which for a political pundit is never a bad thing.
supervike Posted October 1, 2016 #35 Share Posted October 1, 2016 So, either Savage was completely lying, or completely jumping to conclusions.

Savage is a showman and a salesman. I've listened to both conservative and liberal leaning talk radio in the past, but Savage became completely unlistenable a few years ago. All he does is hawk his books, so I'm sure he'll use this little fiasco to make as much money as he possibly can.
