bmk1245 Posted October 1, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 1, 2016 Can't find, kinda, stuff on the net, so I'll try it here. I have a "problem", kinda good problem. When I bought Dell's E7470 it was running max on 2.4GHz (High performance settings, Win 10). After installing firmware and Win 10 "anniversary" update, its running on ~3 GHz now. Is it real, or just CPU-Z is making fun of me?

If it's something like this then the speed can vary, with a minimum and maximum number. Edited October 8, 2016 by ExpandMyMind

But the thing is, as I mentioned, before firmware/OS updates, max performance haven't climbed over 2.4GHz. Hence my curiosity.

In fact, it might actually be a crap update causing your laptop to use more resources. So it's likely not a good thing.
