Visual Novel Posted January 17, 2017 #51 Share Posted January 17, 2017 Um, welll.... Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Rebellion is my favorite movie of all time. It's a sequel to the original series, but it does everything right. It gives Homura even more depth than she already had, has canon KyoSaya, has actual Kyo and Homura interactions, gives Mami way more development then she had in the actual series...it's just reelly good for a PMMM fan. Others: -Learning Hebrew: A gothsploitation film that is weird in all the right ways. You'll see more arthouse films on this list. -Easter Bunny, Kill! Kill!: A tribute to exploitation films, it messes with the genre and just does everything splendidly. I actually saw this one at my first film festival, so it holds a special place in my heart. -La Bete: Okay, it's an erotica film, so not recommended to watch around children. The acting is great, the characters are great, it's just great. Can't reelly describe any of it cause...you know, it's an erotica film.

Then I had even more respect for what they had brought to the screen. I don't get it.
oldrover Posted January 20, 2017 #54 Share Posted January 20, 2017 (edited) I'm not going to post my favourites as such as they're a bit conventional, but I will say the original 1971 'Get Carter'. Apart from the silly sports car ride, the film is so grim and tawdry. Caine puts in a brilliant performance completely against type. The location of the finale is bleak and horrible, it almost looks like science fiction to to most of us who live in thepost-industrial world. 'GOODBYE ERIC!' MWoo7 Posted January 20, 2017 #55 Share Posted January 20, 2017 (edited) 'MOSQUITO COAST,' WITH HARRISON FORD , `86 I think, wasn't in article piece, oh is in the urluri hot link: http://www.nytimes.com/1986/11/26/movies/film-mosquito-coast-with-harrison-ford.html reason/why?:::: Well -- mainly because he would make things out of nothing, innovative , would come up with inventions. Ideas a dime a dozen, no need for those captain physicist but putting it into reality? a whole different ball game, not so easy, as NASA. I like this thought a while back, "why is everything so simple even a 5 year old could program that! -- after someone shows you." or something to that effect. Mark0477 Posted November 28, 2017 #57 Share Posted November 28, 2017 The Godfather- Being the Italian that I am, my all time favorite is a mafia film. I like the fact that it portrays the when the mafia was cool. The restaurant scene is a pure classic. With that being said, the baptism scene is also classic . The scene when Clemenza teaches Mike how to cook spaghetti takes me back to my grandmother showing me how to cook. The whole film is a pure classic. The Godfather, Pt. 2- Every story has to have a beginning. I like the younger Vito Corleone parts than the parts that occur in the present. I like the opera scene, the part when young Vito, young Tessio and young Clemenza are eating dinner and talking about killing Fanucci is a great moment. Goodfellas- Yet another mob film. If I had one million dollars every time Joe Pesci says the f-word I wouldn't have to work. I could pay some student loans off. Great film that keeps you at the edge of the seat. Especially the helicopter scene. Great music too. Casino- The days when the mafia had controll of Las Vegas. The scene when they catch those cheaters is insane. Just what I want. Getting my hand hammered. Yet another great soundtrack. Chinatown- What did you expect, Donnie Brasco, lol. Yes Donnie Brasco is good but not good enough for the top five, let alone my top ten. This by far is my favorite Jack Nicholson movie. Life in LA during the 1940's.
