Podo Posted November 25, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 25, 2016 (edited) As the title says, we have a thread for everyone's favourite movies and favourite cartoons, so why not one about everyone's favourite albums? Tell us what they are! As my list will show, I mainly listen to a healthy mix of savage deathmetal, mixed with happy folk music. I like anything with a lot of energy. My top ten: [Album - Band] 1. Night at the Opera - Blind Guardian 2. Sea of No Cares - Great Big Sea 3. Safe Upon the Shore - Great Big Sea 4. Moving Pictures - Rush 5. Twilight of the Thunder God - Amon Amarth 6. The Varangian Way - Turisas 7. Endless Forms Most Beautiful - Nightwish 8. Last Stand - Sabaton 9. The Complete Collection - Slade 10. Sixty Minutes with Prism - Prism Edited November 25, 2016 by Podo

GlitterRose Posted November 26, 2016 #3 Share Posted November 26, 2016 This is really gonna be difficult. Gotta put Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath in there somewhere. Pink Floyd's The Wall. David Bowie. AC/DC. Depeche Mode. Nirvana. NIN. Marilyn Manson. VNV Nation. It's so hard to pick albums outside of The Wall and maybe Downward Spiral. I loved so much from these people.

HDesiato Posted December 14, 2016 #5 Share Posted December 14, 2016 (edited) This is hard to reduce down a lifetime to 10 albums, so rather than 'in no particular order, I'll go chronologically: Beatles: "Yellow Submarine". I was born in '63. Saw this movie at drive-in triple feature back in '68. A lifelong theme with me. Side 2 has a beautiful, George Martin produced, orchestral soundtrack not to be missed. Pink Floyd: "Dark Side Of The Moon". Beyond reproach. Frank Zappa & The Mothers Of Invention: "One Size Fits All". Residents: "Meet The Residents". Quiet Sun: "Mainstream" (Look it up, good stuff). Rush: "Permanant Waves". (A perfect album from a perfect band.) Clash: "Sandanista". ( a fantastically produced 3 album work of genius.) Radiohead: "Ok Computer". White Zombie: "La Sexorcisto". Loaded with movie excerpts. Classic horror in rock form. Buy this album for your next road trip! Finally, Offspring: "Ixnay on the Hombray". Honorable mention: Ministry: Debut album- "With Sympathy". Ministry: "Psalm 69". Metalica: "Black album". Pink Floyd: "Wish You Were Here". PIL: "Second Edition". Dead Kennedy's: "Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegatables".
