An eagle-eyed Internet user has spotted some peculiar pyramid-shaped structures on Google Earth.

Perhaps such a mountain inspired manmade pyramids.

Ive used those EXACT images MANY times. posted right here on UM.....on the old Bosnian pyramid threads.....to show natural formed pyramid shaped hills..

They are not man made.... and there are a few other similar shaped hills/mountains

Within that mountain are the elder things. Deep in the caves only madness remains.

And if you stare at the pictures long enough, you can hear, dim at first, then increasingly starker, a noise, no, a voice, saying "Tekeli-li! Tekeli-li!"

This source is a little more clear on the subject. Shame on AOL for such a click bait title and shame on this site for just grabbing such a source.

Three of the mountain's four sides appear to have eroded at about the same rate. "It suggests, since it came out so evenly, that the rock type is fairly uniform," Pelto said. "You don't have any rock layers that are harder to erode."

This is an old claim, with a YouTube video to go along with it. It provides three photos, two of which are of the same feature.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stKJJ6xWYFY&t=9s (East end of Schatz ridge – see below)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stKJJ6xWYFY&t=32s
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stKJJ6xWYFY&t=46s (East end of Schatz ridge – see below)

Another Youtube video includes a 4th photo that other sites use (ref, ref). However, that photo is by Al Powers during his 2008 Antarctica trip. He says: "it is just an ice and snow covered hill".

The photo in the question and most of the stories is a known glacial horn (also known as a "pyramidal peak").

It's actually just the east end of Schatz Ridge. Here's a Google map view of it. Here are some other photos of this peak from a slightly different viewpoint pic 1, pic 2, pic 3.

Coincidentally, there is also a specific peak named "Pyramid Peak"

Here's a top down view of Pyramid Peak in Google maps. It was named in 1963.
