Lilly Posted December 7, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted December 7, 2016 If you are over age 18 Google "most misogynist lines in Rap history" and get ready to be shocked/disgusted. Please do not post any of it here as UM is a G-rated site. Frankly, I'm utterly horrified that these PC morons go after a song like this but it's 'hands off' for the incredible filth common to Rap music.

I looked at some of those songs when Hillary's campaign hired Jay-Z and Beyonce to perform at one of her ill-fated, losing rallies, and then continued to attack the winner for words that were not hardly as profane. The same hypocrisy was evident when the White House invited them to perform and the First lady bashed the now PEOTUS. (I'm sorry Lilly, please delete if I am off topic.)

aztek Posted December 7, 2016 #11 Share Posted December 7, 2016 (edited) it seems to me that beiber generation is a lost generation, it exists, but it is not only useless for the most part, but actually destructive to the country, actually most mass shootings lately was commited by this generation Edited December 7, 2016 by aztek

Its been a common christmas discussion for several years now This article is from 2010 and I think is probably the first I realized what the lyrics were about : 8 Romantic Songs You Didn't Know Were About Rape Of course the title says songs about rape which is a little hyperbolic for a couple of reasons but the date rape argument can definitely be made.

Lilly Posted December 7, 2016 Author #20 Share Posted December 7, 2016 When did rape and seduction become one in the same thing? Now, I can see saying the song in question might be advocating seduction...but rape? Honestly, I think some people really need to 'get a life' as these folks seem (to me) to be grasping at straws.

Her: but maybe just a half a drink more Him: (put some records on while I pour) Her: the neighbors might faint Him: (baby it's bad out there) Her: say what's in this drink Him: (no cabs to be had out there) Whats in this drink has been taken by some to mean he spiked it and others say that his pushing her to stay combined with the pushing of alcohol equates to a date rape situation. The article I posted does a mildly better job of explaining it.

It seems mildly date rapey to me but as Lilly pointed out it could be viewed as seduction as well. For the record its one of my favorite holiday songs Edited December 7, 2016 by Farmer77
