Still Waters Posted December 11, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 11, 2016 Since 2010, poachers in South Africa have killed more than 5,000 rhinos. In Asia, two rhino species—Javan and Sumatran—are critically endangered. According to the World Wildlife Foundation, poachers eager to reap their horns use helicopters and veterinary drugs to track and attack the animals. To save these animals’ lives, I propose the Ramakera: a robotic rhinoceros designed to monitor and protect the herd from poachers. https://www.wired.com/2016/12/lets-fight-poaching-robotic-rhinos/

PersonFromPorlock Posted December 18, 2016 #4 Share Posted December 18, 2016 I'd prefer to see all these people who want to save 'wild Africa' working hard to bring the buffalo herds back to the Great Plains. It might give them some insight into what they're asking of the Africans who live in competition with these critters.
