Windows update knocks out internet connection

An update to Windows software has caused problems for personal computer users trying to connect to the internet.

Several European internet service providers (ISPs) have highlighted the problem, which can strike regardless of the type of router box or the particular ISP in use.

Virgin Media has issued detailed advice to customers on how to reconnect.

Microsoft has also offered guidance to those experiencing difficulties.

"As a first step, we recommend customers restart their PCs.

"If this does not resolve the problem, visit our website for further support." - Microsoft

How you supposed to do that with no internet connection?  (lol)

Whoua!, this morning started out PC, had work on it for 15 minutes, then, it crashed completely.  So I rebooted in without error format, then did a ''recuperation with a prior date'', hope it will stand for a while!

Ah, it's a Windows 10 update. All the more reason to keep well away from it.

it may have been why the new lap top (which used Windows X, of course) I got kept losing the wireless connection, so I sent it back. It may have been not its fault and been Windows all along!
