His eye glasses case helped for sure, plus Roosevelt was like 50...Reagan 70.
simplybill Posted January 16, 2017 #53 Share Posted January 16, 2017 It is the Presidential Medal of Freedom, so President Obama can award it to whomever he chooses. In my opinion, VP Biden was loyal to his (and President Obama's) beliefs. I didn't agree with their beliefs, but it seemed to me that Joe Biden was a genuine person, and I've always respected him for that.
skliss Posted January 17, 2017 #54 Share Posted January 17, 2017 I always thought about Biden....how could anyone have voted for this clown....and then I watched his speech on the tenth anniversary of 9/11 and it was thoughtful and heartfelt and he delivered it with great timing and true emotion. He truly gave an inspired speech on a emotional day and I was touched by it.

Biden had been known for saying and doing foolish things and coming across as clownish. However, though I am not a democrat, I admit Biden served Obama and the US with distinction these past eight years. I disagree with a lot of Obama's policies, especially his weak stance on foreign policy, but Biden proved himself a worthy leader, in my opinion. I still wonder why he got the medal and what exactly set him apart to be awarded it, but my respect for him has gone up considerably.
Sweetpumper Posted January 17, 2017 #56 Share Posted January 17, 2017 Obama Has No Time Left for Medal of Honor to Decorated Vietnam War Medic Yet, Obama made time last week to award his right-hand man, Vice President Joe Biden, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civil honor. Obama has also found the time to execute 11th-hour transfers out of the U.S. military prison in Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, and terminate the U.S. immigration policy dubbed “Wet Foot, Dry Foot” that allowed Cubans who reach U.S. soil to stay and ultimately become citizens, among other last-minute actions. http://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2017/01/16/obama-time-medal-honor-vietnam-veteran/
