acute Posted January 23, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2017 I can't post an update, or a reply to a status update, with a graphical smiley in it. UM tells me off! Even for a smiley face, I have to type an old-skool colon & bracket.
Saru Posted January 23, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 23, 2017 What error message are you getting ?
acute Posted January 23, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted January 23, 2017 I've just tested it, and UM is not giving me an error message at the moment. It is letting me put a smiley on a reply right now, but I can't put one on my own updates. I hit the Submit Status, it says 'Updating' for a second or two, then no action.

Try doing it from your profile page rather than from the status updates block on the forum home page.

Space Commander Travis Posted January 23, 2017 #7 Share Posted January 23, 2017 This has always seemed an anomaly to me. 8 hours ago, acute said: I can't post an update, or a reply to a status update, with a graphical smiley in it. Even if I do that, it still doesn't accept it and refuses to post it, Similarly, any update that includes the "%" symbol I've found it doesn't accept.
