Black Monk Posted January 23, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2017 Archaeologists studying an ancient inscription on a remote Scottish island have been left divided over whether it is a Viking engraving after its letters spelt FURKU.AL Experts cannot make up their minds for certain if it is a modern expletive or a carving over 1,300 years old that has by chance formed the brusque swear word. The runic inscription was found on a stone by a resident of the Isle of Eigg off the west coast of Scotland. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-4147808/Ancient-carving-spell-modern-swear-word.html
