Likely Guy Posted January 26, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 26, 2017 Nearly half of Canadians will be immigrants, children of immigrants by 2036: StatsCan Despite increasing anti-immigrant sentiment in the U.S. and in Europe, Canada’s multiculturalism is alive and well and even expected to grow in the coming years, according to a new study by Statistics Canada. Based on the findings of two population projection reports, the government agency projects that nearly one in two Canadians (or between 44.2 and 49.9 per cent) could be an immigrant or the child of an immigrant by 2036. In contrast, the combined population of immigrants and second-generation immigrants represented 38.2 per cent of the Canadian population in 2011. For a historical comparison, Statistics Canada said that, by 2036, the proportion of immigrants could be twice as high as it was in 1871, when the first Canadian census was conducted. The study points to sustained immigration, a rising number of deaths, and low fertility rates since the early 1990s, as factors contributing to the growing proportion of immigrants in Canada. http://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/nearly-half-of-canadians-will-be-immigrants-children-of-immigrants-by-2036-statscan-1.3256361?google_editors_picks=true StatsCan release: http://www.statcan.gc.ca/daily-quotidien/170125/dq170125b-eng.htm

Oh yeah can't forget Inuit! MOST IMPORTANT. Thanks! Can't say enough about CANADA, iF you love the genuine and wilderness, uuuha *sighs* just keep the filthy ugly from trying to put in ski resorts for a quick buck, its a good thing they are nice up there or they would just take care of matters when they come in with all their fancy ideas. Quick bucks quick bucks quick bucks quick bucks you wouldn't believe what some from Europe have tried. I'm pretty sure they ran those dogs out with native help. Long time ago, I forget all of that now, back then everyone in BC was hot over it. Edited January 26, 2017 by MWoo7

See we still win But will half your population be born outside the US, or the children of people born outside the US? Don't think so. We win!

papageorge1 Posted January 26, 2017 #23 Share Posted January 26, 2017 (edited) Well, I think this reflects a shift in the racial balance of the planet. In 1950, whites (English, French, etc.) were 28% of the world population. Today it is 9.8% and dropping. Asians will lead in the number of immigrants to Canada per the article. The human gene pool is changing before our eyes. Edited January 26, 2017 by papageorge1
