UM-Bot Posted February 4, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2017 By: Nicole15 | Location: India Quote This is my first time saying out loud about what I experienced!!! A couple of days back I was alone at home and to pass the time I was reading a novel and soon enough I was way too deep into it. It must have been after a couple of minutes that I sensed something rush past me from the corner of my eye. http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/stories/111796/spooky-sense
papageorge1 Posted February 4, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 4, 2017 (edited) Interesting that it must have been significant enough and so out of the ordinary to you that you are prompted to write about it here. Well of course, no one here can know for sure but some thoughts include imaginations created by being so engrossed in a novel. Another possibility is Shadow People which I see are often reported now (it may be an increasing phenomena or perhaps more likely more reported because of the internet). The link I provided discusses both normal and paranormal theories on Shadow People. They remain an Unexplained Mystery! Yooperman Posted February 20, 2017 #3 Share Posted February 20, 2017 My first thought was that you put yourself into an altered state while reading. Much like self-hypnotism or deep meditation. Once in this state, you were able to sense a higher vibratory dimension and get a glimpse of a being who resides in that dimension. Much like what a medium does. :-)

If you are interested enough try doing it again mabey more than once see if something is around.
Yooperman Posted February 20, 2017 #5 Share Posted February 20, 2017 I have not had such an experience, however, my ex-wife at times (3 times to be exact) on long drives, has been visited by loved ones. They appeared as balls of bright white light. Her mother was the first, her best friend from childhood who lived in a distant state and passed on the day before, and my brother who had recently passed. They communicated with her and all reassured us that they were ok. :-) So I know it can be done.
SavviiAnna Posted March 8, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 8, 2017 I'm curious to whether you felt anything physically like a gust of air at all?
Paranormal Help Posted March 15, 2017 #7 Share Posted March 15, 2017 Okay so , this can be many things the first thing it can be is possibly just your mind playing tricks on you. This has happened to me many times in the past but not all the time are we "imagining" these things neither. Usually when we claim to see something or hear something we are usually right. Our brain is wired to go into a fear state when we hear or see something because something brought it to our attention. Your not going crazy and I actually see where you are coming from. This can also be a shadow person. If you start to hear footsteps, if you see things moving, and if you hear voices, any physical movements at all that are not being made by anyone and anything that is unexplainable then ,it might possibly be a haunting. Don't worry about this too much though, i don't think you have much to worry about unless you have experienced other phenomena since then?
MissJatti Posted April 8, 2017 #8 Share Posted April 8, 2017 Sometimes when an individual is so immerse/engrossed in something, almost all of their senses heightened. Nobody knows, why this happens. Something little, for example, a fly.... flies past in the distance, the brain makes you believe an adult human just walked past you.
