I'd listen to the words he'd say
but in his voice I heard decay
the plastic face forced to portray
all the insides left cold and gray
there is a place that still remains
it eats the fear it eats the pain
the sweetest price he'll have to pay
the day the whole world went away

I heard this one today, and I figured it was relatively new and then found out later it was released in '69.

Anyway, I really like the sound.

Sometimes you hear a few notes of a riff and you just know you've heard it somewhere else before, but just cant place it. It's like a "brain-itch" and you cant drop it. And then, finally, you remember and goes: "Yeah, of course!! It's that song, FFS!!"  :D

The Hellacopters - I'm in the band

Def Leppard - On Through The Night

I love Michael Kiske´s vocals.. Damn there is not many that can take such high notes..
The albums "Keeper of the seven keys part 1 and 2" that he participated on when he was a member in Hellowen is among my favorite albums..

Nothing beats old hellowen a friday evening when you have come home from work.
Opened up a beer or a bottle of wine cooking some really nice food and hang out with my partner and the kids.

XenoFish said, "This site needs more cowbell."  Three classic songs with cowbell:

And, last but not least, one for OverSword:

The above hopefully has a cowbell in it, because I couldn't find a studio version from ‘Are You Experienced?’.

This is the most recent one from Aerosmith I know of that I like. (I've just listened to it again and it still gives me chills!)

I didn't hear this one until about a decade after it was released, but when I finally heard it, I immediately liked it...alot.

This song's been playing on my mind since Thursday...

I've loved it since I was a kid, and I remember I loved to sing it, even though I didn't understand the words. (I knew they were foreign words, but for some reason, I thought it was Spanish.)

Well, then there is Tony Harnell from TNT

His vocal-range is just sick.

If we disregard from the obvious cowbell song (Don't Fear The Reaper) we have these also :

Nazareth - Hair of the Dog

BACKYARD BABIES / Th1rt3en Or Nothing

Grand Funk Railroad - We're an American Band

Rolling Stones - Honky Tonk Woman

The B-52's - Rock Lobster

This is not an cowbell-song, but it has another peculiar addition from the drums to it: John Bonhams squeaky  bass drum pedal. Put on your headphones and listen to the beginning of the song - just at that millisecond before every bass drum kick - and you hear that squeaky spring-sound from the bass-pedal. It can be a bit hard to sort out the sound at first, but once you actually starts hearing it you can hardly hear anything else. :)

Led Zeppelin - Since I've Been Lovin' You
