They sound extremely similar.  Halestorm's song was released in 2012, whereas Band Maid's song was released in 2015.   So perhaps Halestorm influenced them?

Yeah, then it is definitely BANDMAID who have ripped-off Haelstroms song.

This thing about hearing a song/riff/solo etc. that sounds like another song - but for the life of me I cant remember which one it is - is really annoying. But this time I remembered. :tu:

Here is a few other songs that pretty much sounds the same.

Listen to the ABBA-chorus (1976), then listen to the chorus on Shania Twain-track (2002) below

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Listen to The Kinks - Picture Book (1968), then listen to Green Day - Warning-track (2000) below

Yeah, but it isnt the band who have done the Bossa Nova-versions. It is a guy called Andy Rehfeldt and he has only kept the original singing-track, and then rewritten the whole song to Bossa Nova-versions, where he plays the drums, bas, and guitar. Check out his YouTube-channel > https://www.youtube.com/user/AndyRehfeldt/videos

He have tons of other really great alternative-versions of famous songs. Like this Smooth Jazz-version of Metallica's - Enter Sandman. :tu:    I almost spat out my Coke all over the monitor when I heard it for the first time. :D

Metallica - Enter Sandman (Smooth Jazz Version)

The original version, from the same live recording;

Metallica - Enter Sandman 2007 Live

Then there is the Pat Boone-version of it, of course :P :

Enter Sandman - Pat Boone (Jazz Version)
