After the Fire - "Der Kommissar"

I like the original German version better though..

Maybe because I heard that version first, before they bastardized it in the English version. :)

Falco - Der Kommissar

Black Label Society - The First Noel

Black Label Society also made this one;

No particular Christmas-feeling in this one though...:P

They are getting old, and soon they will retire. :(

But maybe, in their old, retiring days, they might do some pensioner-tours, on those cruise-ships in the Caribbean - with blue-haired old ladies and old men with their walkers - doing some Bossa Nova-versions of their repertoire...

:P

Iron Maiden -The Number Of The Beast (Bossa Nova Version)

Maybe they can bring ol' Judas Priest with 'em...

Judas Priest-You've Got Another Thing Comin' (Bossa Nova Version)

..I tend to like the original version though...;)

Sittin' with with my headphones on, sifting through lots of songs on youtube, with different sound qualities, and "hit" this song. I know I posted it here before (and I know some don't seem to like heavy metal unless it's UK/USA-branded ;)), but this song always "floors me" on how well-produced, and remixed it is. It comes like a "punch-in-the-face" when it kicks off after a few seconds.

All the instruments are well mixed and distinct to hear, and yet everything feels "direct". It's not like there is a "guitar-wall", or a "drum-curtain", or a "bass-onslaught". You hear everything equally poignant, and that's not something one do in most heavy metal/hardrock songs produced.

I like/love this song, and the fact that there is a heavy metal band with all asian girls, (yea, me the, old sexist pig) I thought it must be a fake concoction, when I heard it first. :D(there has been some "fake-bands" floating around on youtube that I've seen)

Well anyway, y'all who frequent this thread have heard it before, since I posted it a few (many) times, but put on your good headphones, or even better, pull your speaker/subwoofer up a few notches, and listen to;

...however...

A bit of shame falls on this band (BandMaid), since they obviously  "stole" some inspiration/riffs (almost everything) for this song....;

...from this song;

...and it is kinda undeniable...really....it's a f¤"#¤n rip-off...really.

I mean, just listen too the two....

And Haelstorm made their song 2-3 years before BandMaid.

In these days of "camera-everywhere" one doesn't get away with anything....

But, regardless; BandMaid is a solid band, with very good musicians, and I bet they will produce good music in years to come..if they can keep it together.

When you think of a deep soulful, heartful, voice that trembles and quakes, you might think of someone else....but I think of Rory Graham!!

(the gospel at 1:24 is...gospel)

Rag'n'Bone Man - Skin

Rag'n'Bone Man - Human

..I'm only human after all...

I do the same thing EllJay... Found this one today (from your post actually) - billed as "Amplified Early Medieval European Music " what do you think?

Really enjoyed the woman's vocals - not so much the guys but then again that's just me...

The woman (Maria Franz) has an amazing voice...
