9 police to take ducks away from homeless man

Police in Devon have been accused of over-reacting after arriving en masse to remove some ducks from a homeless man.

Russ O’Conner said he had saved the birds – which had been living in a cardboard box alongside Russ on the streets of Newton Abbot, Devon – and had been left devastated by their loss.

Authorities weren’t happy with the birds’ living conditions however, and police have now removed them from Russ’ care.

The RSPCA said it took action following a number of calls from members of the public concerned about the ducks’ welfare.

The ducks' welfare? What about the homeless man?

It really took 9 police in two cars and a riot van to relieve him of a box of ducks?

Maybe they could have helped improve living conditions all around, instead.

You're not really too clued up on the whole subject of homelessness if you think this is true.
