Lilly Posted February 14, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 14, 2017 It does sound like something Lil' Kim would do (whack his own brother)...but it could also just be some of that 'fake news' that's everywhere nowadays.
LV-426 Posted February 14, 2017 #5 Share Posted February 14, 2017 Sounds like it has been confirmed now: North Korean leader's brother Kim Jong-nam killed at Malaysia airport "Malaysian police official Fadzil Ahmat confirmed for Malaysian news agency Bernama that the victim was indeed Kim Jong-nam. "While waiting for the flight, a woman came from behind and covered his face with a cloth laced with a liquid," he said."

AnchorSteam Posted February 14, 2017 #8 Share Posted February 14, 2017 Basically, what you have in North Korea is a hereditary Monarchy, in function if not in name. Anyone who thinks that such a form of Government is essentially stable and safe ought to learn otherwise from all of this. Didn't this guy also bump off his Uncle not too long ago? Then there was his mistress.... ouch! It makes me recall what the Governor of South Carolina had to say when his people voted to secede from the Union; "... too small to be a nation, too large to be an insane asylum."
Still Waters Posted February 15, 2017 Author #9 Share Posted February 15, 2017 Latest - Quote A female suspect has been arrested in Malaysia in connection with the death of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's half-brother. Local police said that the woman was arrested at the airport in the capital Kuala Lumpur where Kim Jong-nam was targeted in an apparent poisoning on Monday. She was in possession of a Vietnamese travel document. Malaysian police say they are looking for "a few" other suspects. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-38980474

Most analysts didn't consider Kim Jong-nam to be a threat to the regime. He had been living in Macau for some years and was probably estranged from the rest of his family. Like most things with North Korea, motivations for this killing remain pure speculation. It could very well be a personal dispute between Kim Jong-nam and other members of the Kim family. His father Kim Jong-il was known to sleep around quite a bit and had numerous affairs.

Kim Jong-nam lived in Macau, which is basically the Las Vegas of Asia. On steroids. He had access to all the money he wanted, he had multiple women with whom he had intimate relations with and free travel access around the globe. Why would he give this up to run a country that has to sell narcotics on the black market to stay afloat?

Lilly Posted February 19, 2017 #21 Share Posted February 19, 2017 Here's what I think (personal speculation): North Korea is run by this one family and the population is brainwashed in this manner. China is 'kinda sorta' keeping NK in checked. Now, if China deemed that Lil' Kim wasn't exactly towing the line they could have whacked Lil' Kim and quickly replaced him with the half brother. This notion probably didn't set well with Lil' Kim.

Still Waters Posted February 20, 2017 Author #24 Share Posted February 20, 2017 Another update including CCTV footage - Quote North Korea has demanded to see the suspects detained over the apparent assassination of Kim Jong-Un's half-brother, saying the investigation by the Malaysian authorities cannot be trusted. Kang Chol, North Korea's ambassador to Malaysia, said authorities had "pinned the suspicion on us" and asserted the probe into Kim Jong-Nam's death was politically motivated and "in collusion with South Korea". http://news.sky.com/story/north-korea-demands-to-see-kim-jong-nam-assassination-suspects-10775117
Lilly Posted February 20, 2017 #25 Share Posted February 20, 2017 Of course they would blame South Korea. And to answer El's question; yes, there's one other brother. That particular brother is rumored to be very deferential to Lil' Kim though. Still might not be all that great to be him.
