seeder Posted February 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 19, 2017 I was just watching the news on TV....saw this story, a TV clip even showed a fire engine/.truck fall into a sink-hole!! Quote California 'bombogenesis', biggest storm in years, kills four One of California's strongest storms in years - dubbed a "bombogenesis" or "weather bomb" - has hit the state, killing at least four people and bringing torrential rain and floods. Power cuts hit 150,000 households and sinkholes swallowed cars. Hundreds of homes were evacuated amid fear of mud slides near Los Angeles. More gusts, heavy rain and flash floods are expected on Saturday but the storm is due to subside by Sunday. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-39010887 This doesnt mention a sink-hole tho Quote Dramatic video shows fire engine falling over the side of Interstate http://www.latimes.com/local/california/la-live-powerful-storms-moving-l-area-dramatic-video-shows-fire-engine-going-1487401140-htmlstory.html

Hawken Posted February 19, 2017 #7 Share Posted February 19, 2017 That state is dry as a bone for years causing brush fires, and then gets drenched with rain causing sinkholes. No happy medium.

Space Commander Travis Posted February 19, 2017 #10 Share Posted February 19, 2017 The State's response to this, like with the dam, will be a good indication of how well they'd be able to cope if they get their freedom from the totalitarian fascist state of America, wouldn't it.
Space Commander Travis Posted February 19, 2017 #11 Share Posted February 19, 2017 As this article suggests, they're pretty much all ****** anyway .. freetoroam Posted February 19, 2017 #13 Share Posted February 19, 2017 It has had it fair share from the wraths of mother nature for centuries...this "tester" will show what they have learnt from that and how well they can built. And so far, unfortunately for those affected...not much or very well. this is front page news only because people live there.....the damage would not be the same if they had not concreted there. The past is a great foresight into the future....if you care to look.
