Fantastic footage of the rockets 1st stage not only returning to Earth, but also successfully landing in one piece,

seeing the exhaust nozzels of the rocket motors glowing red hot was also fantastic, amazing!!!

I'm liking that they're taking precautions and not taking any small reading with a grain of salt. This truly is the future of space flight in the making. Great time to be alive.

Yes that was an improvement.  As for the future of space flight have you heard of Rocketlab?

Keep an eye peeled down under, I'm guessing we'll be seeing some amazing sights on the horizon yet.

Thanks for the video Waspie.  It's a shame they couldn't get a tighter shot.  It would have been even more awesome.

There are closer shots of the landing (including on-board footage), but SpaceX haven't released them as a video yet.Compared to NASA they are a little slow releasing pictures and video.

SpaceX waves off space station cargo delivery for a day

Quote

SpaceX’s Dragon supply ship, loaded with nearly 5,500 pounds of cargo and experiments, aborted an approach to the International Space Station on Wednesday after encountering a problem in its GPS navigation system.

The gumdrop-shaped, solar-powered spacecraft was about 1,200 feet, or 365 meters, from the space station when it automatically bailed out of the rendezvous, escaping the immediate vicinity of the research outpost as its safety system intended and setting up for another approach as soon as Thursday.

Russian freighter links up with International Space Station

Quote

The International Space Station received its second cargo shipment in less than 24 hours Friday with the automated linkup of a Russian Progress refueling and resupply freighter.

The Progress MS-05 spaceship closed in to dock with the space station’s Pirs module at 0830 GMT (3:30 a.m. EST) Friday, two days after blasting off from Kazakhstan on top of a Soyuz rocket.
