1.  This "buffoon" won 61 million votes in 31 states and became the 45th president of the U.S.

The other buffoon got 65.8 million votes.  Gerrymander much?  But don't get me wrong, I'm not a Hilary supporter - what sort of ridiculous system is it that lands you with those two choices as the 'best of the best'?  Even in the leadup to this debacle, it was obvious that most potential voters were absolutely horrified with BOTH choices.  Add that to a voluntary voting system and utter disenchantment with the status quo.... and you claim this is a good result.  Gotcha.

2.  The U.S. citizens who voted for him did so primarily because they rejected another 4 years of the agenda of the Democrats.

I'll agree with that.  I'd add that a lot of folks who would not normally vote, did so.  And a lot that would normally have voted, did not (yes, I can handwave, too).  Draw your own conclusions about whether all that's a good thing.

3.  Americans are struggling, like most around the world, economically.  We have seen our nation pushed hard to the Left against the desires of more than half the people.  In that context, most care not a whit about what "the world" thinks of us.

Agreed, 'cept for that bit about more than half the people - *that* is fake news....  And time will tell on whether it's good to be so carefree...

4.  I will repeat it again.  Trump will be untouchable politically until the media can separate him from the support of his voters.

Not sure what your point is, but there are a number of ways a president can lose/leave office - just ask Dicky, Bill, Andy...

Quote

5.  John McCain (and Lindsey Graham) represent the establishment in D.C. and share far more in common with the Democrats than with Trump.  You can be sure that both of these Senators will continue to disagree with and take jabs in the press against Trump.  They will not push impeachment until they can raise the votes, though.  See #4.

Confusing - so you're saying there is a likelihood of impeachment?  Isn't that an admission of ill deeds (perhaps pending ones)..?  Or can you get impeached simply on them made up fake news stories? :D

6.  We had a saying in the southern U.S. when I was growing up.  In response to complaining by people who had no power to change a decision - "F'em if they can't take a joke".

So this is a joke...?  I agree, again.

... While some middle eastern countries are a little on the high side, it seems to reflect the likely income levels, rather than the countries/religions/whatever. ...

That's was the complaint being made long before "last night".  Here's a quote from a report in 2013:

Quote

... While Sweden’s overall unemployment rate is at 8.2 percent—well below the EU’s average of 10.9—its youth unemployment is high, at 23.5 percent. With unemployment at this level, people begin to blame immigrants: Our children can’t find work, because the immigrants are taking all the jobs. ...

https://www.thetrumpet.com/article/10648.19.0.0/society/immigration/immigration-and-unemployment-fuel-riots-in-sweden

Back about the time of the 2011 Rugby World Cup I encountered an Irish painter, in a pub, complaining how Polish migrants were taking all the jobs in his home country.  Not long afterwards I happened upon a documentary reporting the an experiment where unemployed British were the jobs the Polish migrants occupy.  Sweden was said to have been debating the same issue with no other details given.

The immigration debate has been going on for years; but now terrorism trumps economics.

So there was an incident in Sweden after all?

Yes, and President Trump was able to predict it three days before it happened.

That's why he has got the top job!

heres a good read about the issues in Sweden,,,, it lists quite a lot of the migrant issues.... and Im going to post a longer than usual snippet just as the page waffles on a bit before it gets to the juicy stuff....as follows

But this new bout of “fake news” about Sweden was even more transparently fake than usual. If everything's fine in Sweden, then why the hell are the Sweden Democrats rising in the polls? Hell, if everything's fine in Sweden, why do the Sweden Democrats exist at all? Chan and Baker interviewed a couple of leading Swedish politicians and other top members of Sweden's cultural elite, but they didn't quote any Sweden Democrats.

Nor did they quote any ordinary Swedes like my many Swedish friends on Facebook, every one of whom gave Trump a full thumbs-up. (Example: “Trump may be clumsy but it is true that we have a crisis in Sweden. It is not about what happened or what didn't happen on a specific night. It is a crisis which has lead to a complete U-turn in the debate about immigration. The self-proclaimed humanitarian superpower has zealously introduced border checks and tougher asylum laws. Attitudes are changing by the hour.”) They didn't quote anybody from the Australian version of 60 Minutes whose crew was physically attacked last year when they tried to report from one of those non-existent no-go zones. They didn't quote the Bosnian immigrant to Sweden who calls himself “The Angry Foreigner” and who has recorded a number of highly informative videos about the Swedish crisis. (On Monday, he posted a new video responding to the whole Trump debacle.)

They didn't quote Stephen Jerand, chief of police in the Swedish city of Östersund, who three weeks ago urged Swedish women to “adjust their behavior” in order to avoid rape by you-know-who. They didn't quote Swedish police inspector Lars Alvarsjö, who warned last year that the country's police departments and courts were on the verge of collapse because of the crush of immigrant crime. They didn't quote the Swedish cop who told one reporter just the other day that he would never drop his daughter off at the central train station in Stockholm because of the abusive conduct of the Moroccan youths who congregate there. They didn't quote Peter Springare, a police investigator in Örebro, Sweden, who got in trouble with authorities for stating publicly that virtually all of the criminals he deals with are Muslims. They didn't quote Stefan Sinteus, police chief in Malmö, who has complained about the “upward spiral of violence” by Muslim immigrants in that city, Sweden's third largest. They didn't quote any of the other Swedish police officers who last year told Norway's NRK that more than 50 neighborhoods in Sweden were, indeed, no-go areas where “lawlessness reigns.”

As far as I know, some drug dealer/druggie(I'm unsure which) was arrested.  The local immigrants then rioted over him being arrested and burnt some stuff down.

That about sums up what happened since the article I read didn't give any further details.

the bigger point is, and as shown with my post above....Sweden DOES have ongoing migrant issues, and it DOES downplay them

President Trump does seem to be making headway with popular opinion- it is reported many cities are holding "Days without Immigrants" when many popular stores are closed, in an attempt to peaceably persuade immigrants to leave. These cities must seem much more peaceful, and presumably the Days without Immigrants will increase across the States.

The deportation of Garcia de Rayos, after she had lived 20 years in the US, leaving behind her husband and children, is also proving popular in the US and Mexico.

At last a fair and even-handed POTUS.

I just wonder at how stupid America is sometimes.  It is making their most important near neighbor into an enemy.  There was always some envy (the Mexicans think America is rich because it exploits Mexico and the Americans think America is rich because of its virtue -- the truth has more to do with luck and historical accident) but now Mexico is going (very likely if the extreme left gets power) to join Cuba and become a real enemy.  In the past the US could do its thing around the world and not have to worry about its borders -- this will change.

It is so stupid, and based on such selfishness by a minority of the US population -- for the most part the most ignorant parts of the population who function out of feelings of superiority rather than compassionate humanity.

the only indication in the article was a reference (denial) of 'no go zones'...

Rinkeby was one of several areas which saw violent unrest in 2013, with up to 30 fires a night and several police injured by stones. It is one of 15 areas listed by police as "particularly vulnerable" in a report from 2015, however they have denied any existence of "no go zones".

I think we should all take a minute to reflect on what happened friday night in Sweden. Its important because the Swedes are so traumatised that they still don't know what happened. Seriously they have no idea what happened, but since the US president took his precious time to comment on it it must have been bad.

America's most important neighbour is Canada.

It is absolutely  incredible that Trump's assertions that the media are reporting lies and suppressing the truth, as only spoken by him, are actually taken seriously by some-simple minded folk.

Its best neighbour is Canada, the most important is definitely Mexico considering what comes north of the border (gangs and drugs mainly).

NIGEL FARAGE tore into the Swedish media as he blamed them for being too “politically correct” over its coverage of crime in the country.

Two leading Swedish politicians say Trump was right about their country's problem with refugee-fueled crime

Per Jimmie Akesson and Mattias Karlsson are members of Sweden's parliament
Both are also from the nationalist Sweden Democrats party
They co-wrote an op-ed in The Wall Street Journal defending President Trump
Trump was ridiculed last week after suggesting Sweden suffered a terror attack
Akesson and Karlsson say Trump correctly referred to rise in crime in Sweden
