Swedes puzzle over Fox News' security advisor

Bill O'Really's featured guest was a Swedish National Security advisor, of course there to cement Trump's statements about Sweden, and immigration.  One little problem...the Swedes have absolutely no idea who the guy is.  Now THIS is fake news, as opposed to UNFAVORABLE news being labeled as fake.

They're still so traumatized that they have temporary amnesia. They can't even remember that horrid attack.

Self preservation.  They're trying to remain the front runners for the State Run Media.

They don't care if it's fake or not, as long as it fits into their worldview.

They are so desperate for ratings they just let some random guy speak? It's like cable news is trying to die

Fox News is run by 21st Century Fox, not the White House. If you want SRM look at the BBC in the UK or CBC in Canada

Would not characterize all cable news in the same vein as FOX. Yes they are the only mainstream that segues into the alternate media. Repeating or orchestrating Breitbart and infowars conspiracy theory among other vanilla variety falsehoods.

Of course a perspective from the far flung side of society would dismiss even FOX and only prefer Prison Planet.

As usual it is the mainstream who out the FOX's disreputability.

Now we have a heads up for another angry right Swedish fishing tale.

Unsure why you protest for literalism since the right whines daily that most mass media is the official propaganda arm of Obamillary.

FOX≈SRM

Is sky news considered right or left wing in the UK?  Both fox and sky are owned by Rupert Murdoch.

Literalism? It's not state run. It's owned by a private company. End of story.

Edit to add--

OK I see now, you're saying if a news station's political ideology aligns with the current Administration it's the same as being state-run. Well, that's just silly.

She was insinuating the fact that it seems we are headed towards a State Run Media outlet.  The whole "fake news" bit, and banning media outlets that run unfavorable, yet true stories from press briefings is absolutely UNPRESIDENTED!

FOX have been duped many times over the years with regards to fake (prank?) guests. Someone needs to be fired.

In Fox's defense, Bill O'Reilly is a News Commentator, not a News Reporter.  He's not obligated to tell the correct news, just comment on it with his own opinions.

Yet the BBC and CBC are capable of criticizing the government and holding them accountable.

Really dumb move by FOX. There are plenty of actual Swedes who can tell people what a train wreck their immigration policies have been.

It's just Fox News continuing the 'Fake News' train. It's Propaganda plain and simple.

It isn't propaganda that Sweden is having horrible mass immigration problems. It's so sad the left is willing to sacrifice the victims of it on the alter of political correctness. All while declaring themselves the champions of women's rights, smh

Its propaganda when a news org labels someone as an insider and advertises them as some sort of quasi government official when ya know, they're really not.

In Fox's defense the angry leprechaun (gotta love some michael savage - while hating him at the same time) has said he will address the issue in tonights episode of his show.

Hats off to Oreilly  for admitting and correcting the mistake on air ......

Bill O'Reilly says criticism over Swedish 'national security adviser' is valid

In a statement on his program Monday, O'Reilly said criticism of his decision to book Blidt was "valid."

"[W]e looked into the situation and the criticism is valid. It's valid," O'Reilly told viewers. "Mr. Bildt does consulting work on terrorism, that's true -- but we should have clarified that he had no direct role with the Swedish government. To be fair, the information we gave you in the segment was accurate but in hindsight a more relevant guest should have been used on the anti-immigrant side. You should also know that before the segment was booked we asked the Swedish Ambassador to appear, he declined. That invitation stands."

Its been years, like 10+ since I was a devout Foxnews follower watching Hannity & Colmes and Oreilly every night but I still read the above quote in his voice and with his mannerisms.

I was a pretty big fan, even bought the dudes first book (im just assuming he has put out more since then)
