Still Waters Posted March 1, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 1, 2017 Donald Trump has been forced to postpone his state visit to Britain following mounting controversy over the trip, according to reports. The US President expressed concerns about his visit, which had been planned for June, during a phone call with Theresa May last month. The Sun report that the visit is now expected to take place from 5 to 8 October, in an attempt to avoid mass protests. A senior Government source told the paper: "Trump still really wants to come this year but he wants the heat to die down a bit first. Except not really, which is why you're seeing more and more political activism as the government strays more and more from the will of the People. This is a fairly well established pattern, by the way...Progressive movements tend to come around every 50 years or so...this one is overdue, because I think by and large people have been far too comfortable to get engaged, but as the envelope gets pushed more and more people are kind of saying "Umm...I know this big screen and McMansion and 2.5 kids is cool, and all, but WT-actual-F is going on in Washington!?". But, according to how their government is set up, the power belongs to the people, and as such, so does the responsibility. If the government is corrupt, it is on them to replace it. There is precedence for the military going against the government. For example, the Cuban army stopped supporting Batista's corrupt regime, allowing Castro (et al) to overthrow the government. It's rare, but it could happen. And, certainly it would be within their rights as citizens to do so. Crazy what constituted "Freedom" at America's birth, compared to today, huh?
