Turn it into a lawn meadow!  I did!  wink.gif  (You can get wild flower seedmix for lawn meadows at garden centres).  Far less maintenance and visually pretty for quite a few months.

I am always amazed by what people get worked up about so I guess I have a more open mind about possibilities.

It makes a pleasant change to read about someone who's adding something to the community, and not vandalising it. I think the trees are a nice touch, and it's good the council are leaving them where they are. The mystery person who planted them probably didn't want to be known for fear of prosecution. The laws are so strange nowadays people are scared to do anything.
