PBSO wants clues in Cynthia Moffatt, Randi Gorenberg slayings

Randi Gorenberg and Cynthia Moffett share an unfortunate anniversary — the two Palm Beach County women were killed on March 23, one year apart. The women are also linked in one other way — years after their murders, no suspect has been brought to justice.

I've looked into those two cases along with two other cases, which include the Aug. '07 abduction/robbery of a mother and her toddler son and the Dec. '07 abduction/murders of a mother and her 7 yr. old daughter from that same mall, and it appears to me that all of these crimes are connected and were committed by the same perp.

I think the circumstance that the first (known) robbery/murder occurred at a golf park and that there was another robbery a few days following the Aug. '07 abduct./robbery which occurred near (near enough to take notice, I think) another golf park is too coincidental, especially considering that in the Dateline presentation (available beneath the article at the link) it's mentioned that the 7 yr. old was a "budding golfer".

regi, thank you for the link, I had not seen that episode for quite a while and it brought back some memories of the case and the other similar homicide that I mentioned and possibly one women who escaped earlier. South Florida being so transient I think the authorities suspect or had suspected at one time that the killer was someone just passing through the area perhaps who was in the area for drug treatment as South Florida is considered the drug treatment capital of the U.S. and often run by sleazy operators just in it for the money. Sadly they still haven't solved the cases.

They say in these cases of car robberies  to crash your  car in some way , as long as your child was in a car seat,  it will make the robber run away.

that makes good sense docyabut2, it reminds me of the movie with Tom Hanks and the big dog Hooch. Hanks drives the car into the wall to avoid being killed by one of Boyett's henchman. Hopefully one day they will get this guy.

I hadn't known that, but I think surely- even if he had been in some sort of drug treatment- he still could have been a local.

an interesting new lead in the case from my town. if anybody is interested, i have followed this case very closely since i have lived in town for 30 years and am acquainted with the victim , her brother and sister. i witnessed some of the investigation first hand and i'm very familiar with the pond where she was abducted from and the surrounding area. the more this story is spread and the more information we can get out there, the more likely it is that this case can be solved. so if anybody would like to pick my brain i definitely have some theories.

Coming up on the one year mark of Shannah Boiteau going missing in a manner I can't believe wasn't quickly resolved.

http://culturecrossfire.com/etc/robert-beckowitz-murder/
Shannah Boiteau and her boyfriend were traveling from Wisconsin to California on June 22nd of this year when the couple were passed by a cop car near St. Cloud, Minnesota. This seemed to spook Boiteau and she suddenly jumped out of the car and raced into the brush and woods that lined the highway. It is thought that she was concerned that she was going to get in trouble for violating her parole as she had been recently drinking. Shannah has not been seen since.

An independent witness saw Boiteau run into the woods, so her boyfriend is not considered a suspect in her disappearance. She was not wearing shoes at the time she ran into the trees and her purse was left behind in the car.

Other police reports have her being arrested a few years earlier for a huffing related car accident, so there's probably much more to this story.

On Friday, April 13th,1928 around 60 people were attending a dance at the local dance hall. It was on the second floor of a building on main street. Below was an auto garage and the owner was called to town to deliver some gas to someone who was waiting there for him.

As the last song of the evening played in the dance hall above, the owner reached for the doorknob and when he opened it, there was a huge explosion. The dance floor flew up almost to the ceiling and people were thrown from windows in all directions from the force of the blast. There were18 injured, 36 killed. Blown into so many pieces they weren't able to sort them out and had to bury them in a mass grave.  Eye witnesses give conflicting accounts of the events of that evening, and to this day, no one knows how or why the explosion occurred.
