Previous research conducted with chimpanzees living in laboratories has suggested that playing music has positive effects on the animals' welfare, however, other research with zoo-housed primates has yielded mixed results. I'm picturing the scene at the start of 28 Days Later, where a chimp is strapped down and subjected to the horrors of mankind, Clockwork Orange style...
