Just had a thought -- omg when we leave the EU will Ireland still give us points in the Eurovision Song Contest -

Sometimes they are the only country to boost our score - except when we were extra crap and got nul points -
even the Irish couldn't give us one point then - :D (yeah yeah I know it's all political...that's why it's an issue with
us leaving the EU and Ireland remaining )

aaaanyway ......

Let's have a little musical interlude dedicated to brothers and sisters, north and south, across the Irish Sea --

Undoubtedly the best ever interlude act in the history of the Eurovision Song Contest. A cultural tour de force that went on to take the world by storm:

And Ireland went on to win the contest with this memorable song:

The UK for 2016/17 Number one in Europe for Foreign investment.

Moving on. Not looking good for the BMW group, The EU raided their offices. - if found guilty how much will they be fined? the German Car industry is having a rough time of it, first the Diesel scandal and now this, The Asian/Korean car makers must be rubbing their hands. The German Car industry was spooked three weeks ago when even we heard rumours the Far Eastern/Korean car manufactures were eyeing up the UK market in regard to Brexit and making tentative moves on the German (UK) market share. as rumours of no-deal grew, funny how Merkel spoke out only the other day on trade talks with the UK.

BMW raided in cartel investigation.

MUNICH/BRUSSELS (Reuters) - BMW’s headquarters were raided by European Union officials investigating an alleged cartel among German carmakers, it said on Friday, as rival Daimler claimed whistleblower status in an effort to avoid fines.

The competition watchdog said that it was investigating collusion among German carmakers,Daimler, BMW, Volkswagen and its Audi and Porsche arms conspired to fix prices in diesel and other technologies over decades.

EU staff had “conducted an inspection” at BMW’s Munich offices this week, the premium carmaker said in a statement, adding that it is “assisting the European Commission in its work”. On Monday Oct. 16 he first confirmed raid related to allegations that several German automakers had engaged in an illegal cartel.
