Claire. Posted March 30, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 30, 2017 Perhaps the porcupine escaped? It attacked the snake whilst it tried to eat it. The snake did not swallow it.

Frank Merton Posted March 31, 2017 #8 Share Posted March 31, 2017 The snake must have been starving; they generally know better. If not best to get the idiot out of the gene pool. All things live by killing others, usually cruelly; wonderful way God designed things.

The snake did not swallow it. yes I went back to the article to check, you will see the text under it is misleading as it says it happened AFTER eating the creature... then it says "attempting to eat"...so yes... a bit of misreporting there!! I went by the small description that linked to the article, ie: The one below Quote Snake gets its comeuppance after attacking a porcupine and getting pierced by spikes Wince-inducing footage appears to shows a snake writhing in pain after eating a porcupine and being pierced with its spikes. A video captures the boa constrictor squirming as dozens of white quills protrude from its skin in Brazil. The impaled reptile had apparently attempted to eat the porcupine - unaware that it had protective spikes to ward off attacks. aztek Posted April 1, 2017 #10 Share Posted April 1, 2017 i wonder if it would attack a human if one tried to pull spikes out.

Boa's will literally take on anything. They are not that clever either but they get bloody huge.Florida is facing a big,big problem with them. They will wipe out native species quite easily.
