I've always been bothered by this. There are so many stories of sightings but trappers and hunters have been traversing the PNW for 2 centuries now and have killed pretty much anything they've come across (up until the mid-20th century) and never a single Bigfoot shot, no body found, no tangible evidence of any kind.

I think there are far, far better explanations. Like mistaken identity for the vast majority of them. :)
